Punjab Government shifts Rs. 870 million from police budget to the Orange Line Train Project

LAHORE: The Punjab Government will spend 870 million from police budget to the Orange Line Train project. Punjab government has decided to reduce an amount of 870 million from the police budget for Metro Train. As per details, the project regarding the formation of police’s Dolphin is facing a delay. An amount of Rs 1.68 billion had been allocated for the Turkish-like squad. On the other hand, Metro Orange Line project has been challenged by civil society members in Lahore High Court. The petition was filed by civil society lawyer Muhammad Azhar. The petitioner took stance in his petition that government want to destroy the beauty of Lahore. Historical buildings are being destroyed by government on the name of Metro Train project.
