PTI moves NA over Rohingya Muslims plight

ISLAMABAD  – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has on Monday moved an adjournment motion in the National Assembly (NA) over violence against Rohingya Muslims.

The adjournment motion was moved by PTI leaders including Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Dr Arif Alvi, Sheerin Mazaari, Asad Umer and Shafqat Mahmood.

The PTI leaders demanded that the assembly should immediately raise the issue of violence against Rohingya Muslims.

They further stated that houses have been set ablaze in Rohingya-majority areas of Myanmar’s Rakhine region.

“The genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Burma that has resulted in thousands being beaten, shot and hacked to death. Their homes have been burnt and hundreds of thousands are homeless and have taken refuge in Bangladesh”.
