PSL 2017: Peshawar Zalmi Vs Karachi Kings match update live


SHARJAH: Karachi Kings defeat Peshawar Zalmi today here at Sharjah in a thriller.




Sami and Afridi partnership took Peshawar Zalmi to a critical stage.



But dismissal of Sami brought Peshawar Zalmi to knees.



Zalmi needed 18 runs in the last over with Shahid Khan Afridi on strike.



Osama Meer bowled the last over.



Shahid Afridi scored 6 on the 3rd ball however was catch out on next delivery on 54 for 29 balls.



Hasan Ali was out on next ball.





Peshawar Zalmi needed 175 runs from their 20 overs with a required run rate of 8.75 runs per over to win the match.


 


 


 


Shoaib Malik was the top scorer for the side as he scored 51 runs from 27 deliveries after hitting four boundaries and three sixes.


 


 


 


The opening duo of Kumar Sangakkara and Babar Azam also put up a 72 run stand at the first wicket.


 


 


 


Azam made 46 runs from 38 balls with the help of six boundaries and a maximum. Sangakkar scored 28 runs off 22 balls with three fours to his name. 


 


 


 


Ravi Bopara also contributed 30 runs with the bat after hitting two boundaries and two maximums.


 


 


 


Iftikhar Ahmed grabbed two wickets for Zalmi while Shakib Al Hasan and Imran Khan Jr. also grabbed a wicket each.
