Polling is underway in by-election of NA-267

JHAL MAGSI: Polling is underway for the by-election of National Assembly Constituency NA-267 in Jhal Magsi district of Baluchistan. Neck to neck contest is being expected between PML-N and PTI candidates.

 

As per details, the polling for the by-polls started from 8 am that would continue without any interruption till 5 pm. National Assembly constituency is consisted on two districts Bolan and Jhal Magsi while a total of 16 candidates are taking part in by-election.

 

Neck to neck competition is being expected between PML-N candidate Khalid Magsi and PTI candidate Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind.

 

165 polling stations have been set up in the constituency for the 164,049 voters while over 35,000 police and Levies personnel have been deployed for the security of polling station in order to avoid any unpleasant situation.

 

It is also worthy to mention here that the seat was vacant when Supreme Court cancelled the membership of Khalid Magsi and ordered to conduct election again.
