PML-N practically demonstrating respect for rule of law: Tariq Fazal

ISLAMABAD, (APP): Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Wednesday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) believes in rule of law and manifested it in reality by appearing before the courts.

 

"The PML-N leadership not only believes in the rule of law but also proved it practically by appearing before the courts," he said talking to media after hearing at Accountability Court.

 

The minister said there are total 28 witness in the case of Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar in which the court has summoned two witnesses on the next hearing. "Our lawyers would examine these witnesses."

 

Tariq Fazal said the lawyers of Ishaq Dar requested the court for the provision of copies of the references and sought seven days time for reply.

 

"We requested the court to give seven days time before indictment b

ut the court rejected our plea and indicted Ishaq Dar within 48 hours," he added.

 

Mentioning to NAB laws, he said, in any case in the court at least seven days time is given to submit reply and added that our lawyer had also referred different orders of the apex court as well as high courts.

 

To a question, about the restriction on media, the minister said untill we do not have instructions by the court, how can we invite media inside the court. "Islamabad Capital Administration or our leadership did not restrict media to enter the court premises."
