PM Nawaz chairs meeting to review PIA performance

ISLAMABAD: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of PM Nawaz here at today (Friday) in PM House to review the Pakistan International Airline performance.
As per details, PM Nawaz chaired a meeting to review the PIA performance while PM Nawaz was briefed over PIA shares and proposed measures of human resources in the meeting.
Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar, Secretary Aviation and other high officials participated in the meeting. While giving the briefing over the performance of PIA, PM Nawaz was informed that shares of PIA have increased in local market from 47 to 58% while PIA shares have increased in international market from 23 to 27%.
PIA daily flights have reached at 121 from 94, PM Nawaz was briefed, adding that over 5 lakh passengers travelled through PIA in March.
The meeting also informed PM Nawaz that approval has been given by PIA Board of Directors for new organizational structure and main reservation office has shifted to Islamabad from Karachi.
