Peshawar Zalmi donates 10 percent PSL win money to IK's Shaukat Khanum

Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi on Wednesday announced to donate 10 percent of win bonus to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Peshawar.

The announcement was made in a message on Twitter days after Zalmi won the final of the second edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) that was held in Lahore.

Rests of the matches of PSL were played in the United Arab Emirates.

The hospital was founded by Pakistan’s former cricket hero Imran Khan who came under harsh criticism for his controversial remarks against the foreign players who played the final in Lahore representing Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators.

A couple of days after the final, 1992 World Cup wining captain appeared to belittle Darren Sammy and other foreign players in his meeting with journalists.

Darren Sammy was the captain of Peshawar Zalmi who led West Indies to two T20 World Cup victories.
