Peshawar Zalmi Chairman presents Rs 2 million to PBCC

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Chairman Peshawar Zalmi Javed Afridi Tuesday presented a cheque of Rs 2 million to Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) for displaying superb performance in World Blind Twenty20 held in India earlier this year.

In the event, Pakistan were Runners-up while India was the champion.

However Pakistan remained unbeaten in the event before the final, a press release issued here said.

Javed Afridi appreciated the performance of Pakistan Blind Cricket team and said the team had always won laurels for the country and had set example for the able bodied to follow.

Chairman PBCC Syed Sultan Shah, thanking Javed Afridi for his kind gesture said these type of appreciations boost the morale of Pakistan Blind Cricket to perform beyond their potential in future events.

He further requested Peshawar Zalmi, Haier and Ruba to come forward as a sponsor of the 5th edition of ODI Blind Cricket World Cup to be held at United Arab Emirates (neutral venue) and Pakistan. Javed Afridi assured his support to the PBCC.
