PEMRA issues another show cause notice to Bol TV

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Tuesday issued another show cause notice to Bol TV for telecast of indecent language in its programme "Aisey Nahin Chaley Ga" on January 27 night.
According to show cause notice, the channel has violated PEMRA Ordinance 2002, PEMRA (Amendment) Act, 2009, Section 20 (c), Section of PEMRA Rules 2009, and relevant sections of electronic media code of conduct.
PEMRA can impose Rs 1 million fine on or can suspend or cancel the licence of the said TV channel. If Bol management fails to give a satisfactory reply by February 7, unilateral action would be taken against the channel.
