PCB forms probe committee on Pakistan cricket team defeat at hands of India

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board PCB has taken action over the disgraceful defeat of Pakistan Cricket team at the hands of Indian cricket team in the Champions Trophy match.

PCB on Tuesday constituted a three-member committee to probe Pakistan’s thumping defeat at the hands of India in their Champions Trophy 2017 opener match.

The committee comprises of former Test cricketer Mudassar Nazar, Chief Operating Officer PCB Subhan Ahmed and former Test cricketer Haroon Rasheed.

The committee would interrogate from the players as to what led to such a dismal performance against India on Sunday. Then the committee would submit a comprehensive report to the PCB in the light of the investigation.

Pakistan’s crushing 124-run loss to title-holders India in their tournament opener was criticised for the lop-sided manner in which they played.

Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed admitted that they played poorly against India.
