PCB decides to appoint Inzamam ul Haq as Chief Selector

LAHORE: Final decision has been taken by Pakistan Cricket Board to appoint former captain and present coach of Afghanistan cricket team Inzamam ul Haq as Chief Selector.
As per sources, PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan has established telephonic contact with his Afghani counterpart Shafiq Stanikzai and informed him about the decision to appoint Inzamam ul Haq as Chief Selector of Pakistan Cricket Board.
On the other hand, PCB Officials claimed that announcement of his appointment is being expected on Monday.
Inzamam ul Haq has also sent his resignation to Afghan Cricket Board through e-mail, stating that he could not further carry coach responsibility of Afghan team due to national interest.
Afghan Cricket Board Chief said that Inzamam ul Haq contract is going to be ended in November this year however, he has been released, accepting his resignation.
It is also worthy to mention here that selection committee had been dissolved by PCB Chairman over poor performance of team in Asia Cup and T20 World Cup while Head Coach Waqar and Shahid Afridi also resigned from their post after their poor performance.
