Panama Papers case to be concluded on priority: SC

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar on Thursday said that the court wanted to conclude the cases related to the Panama Papers early.

The Chief Justice expressed this while hearing a disqualification case against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, adding that circumstances caused delay in proceedings of cases.

The case was filed by PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi accusing Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen of not declaring their assets.

Abbasi also asked the court to declare both PTI leaders ineligible on allegedly violating the Income Tax Ordinance 1979 and Peoples Act 1974.
