Panama Case JIT submits new harassment complaint in Supreme Court

ISLAMABAD – The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has on Wednesday filed a complaint in the Supreme Court regarding the harassment of the members of the team and witnesses.

In an application filed in the apex court, it is stated that the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is delaying in providing the record against Sharif family, while the JIT member Bilal Rasool is being harassed by the Investigation Bureau (IB).

The application further stated that the SECP is forging the record, while the witnesses are being pressurized for statements. “The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has only provided five years record.”

The JIT stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s summon was deliberately leaked which was aimed at creating security issues for the probe team members.
