Pakistan's Liquid Foreign Reserves increase

KARACHI: (APP) The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 22,274.0 million on March 10, 2017.

A statement of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said here on Thursday that the break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:

i) Foreign reserves held by the SBP: US$ 17,238.3 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 5,035.7 million.

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 22,274.0 million

The statement further pointed out that during the week ending March 10, 2017, SBP's reserves increased by US$ 99 million to US$ 17,238 million.

During the week SBP received US$ 200 million under Coalition Support Fund and made payments of US$97 million on account of external debt servicing and other official payments.
