Pakistan welcomes Afghan government and Hezb-i-Islami peace agreement: FO

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Pakistan on Sunday welcomed an agreement signed between Government of Afghanistan and Hezb-i-Islami.

"Pakistan wishes to see peace in Afghanistan and we support all sincere Afghan-owned and Afghan-led peace efforts to that end," said Foreign Office in a press release.

The people of Afghanistan deserved peace and prosperity, it said, adding "Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability in Afghanistan as it is in the larger interest of the region and Pakistan in particular."
