Pakistan UAE revive old strategic ties hit by Yemen episode

DUBAI - During the meeting at the Zabeel Palace, COAS General Bajwa and UAE Premiere Sheikh Mohammed pledged to revive the old strategic ties which had suffered after the Yemen episode.

Both discussed a range of issues regarding bilateral ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the latest regional developments.

The Dubai ruler praised the constructive and effective role of the Pakistani community in the development and building of the UAE.

General Bajwa thanked Sheikh Mohammed for the charitable and humanitarian assistance provided by the UAE. He also spoke about the development projects undertaken by UAE companies under the directives UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

He also lauded the progress witnessed by the UAE in urban, economic and demographic areas and its policy at regional and global levels.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of Armed Forces of UAE and other senior government and military officials.
