Pakistan-Turkmenistan vow for land linkages to promote ties

Pakistan and Turkmenistan have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse fields, including agriculture, communications and Information Technology.
The agreement reached at a meeting of Pakistan-Turkmenistan Joint Governmental Commission in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The session was co-Chaired by the Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers/Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
The meeting also discussed cooperation in energy sector which is a crucial component of the bilateral relationship.
The two countries also focused on measures for enhanced connectivity including air and land linkages to promote trade, travel, tourism and people-to-people contacts.
