Pakistan to support Climate Change consortium under global change impact study centre

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan has said that ministry of Climate Change will support to establish climate change consortium under global change impact study centre.

He stated this while chairing a meeting on working of global change impact study centre was held at Ministry of Climate Change. The delegation headed by the Tariq Banuri chief executive, global change impact study centre briefed the minister about working and future plans for global change impact study centre.

“Ministry of Climate Change will provide every support to make global change impact study centre an internationally recognized research institution,” Mushahid Ullah assured. 

He said that government would help in establishing climate change consortium including universities and research institutions. He further emphasized to enhance capacity building of experts working in field of climate change.

Federal minister for climate change also appreciated the idea of initiating masters program on climate change in universities of Pakistan.
