Pakistan sizzles with heat as temperature rises to 53 degrees on 1st Ramadan

ISLAMABAD: Most part of Pakistan reeled under intense heat wave condition on Sunday with maximum temperature recorded 53 degree Celsius Turbat area of Balochistan.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the hot and dry weather is likely to prevail for next couple of days, with no chance of rain in Sindh and Balochistan.

Synoptic Situation:

Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country.

Next 12 hrs:

Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at a few places in Hazara, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Lahore divisions and Kashmir.

Next 24 hrs:

Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected in plain areas of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at a few places in Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas
