Pakistan security agencies tightens the noose around banned outfits, financial resources

ISLAMABAD - 8,333 persons have been placed under fourth schedule on directives of federal and provincial governments whereas 5023 banks accounts have been frozen.

Three outfits have been tagged as banned while three are in watch list. Likewise, amount worth Rs400 million has been seized.

Jamaat-ud-Dawa’ chief Hzafiz Saeed and his four aides named Obaidullah Obaid, Zafar Iqbal, Abdur Rehman and Qazi Kashaf Niaz have also been placed under fourth schedule. 

State Bank of Pakistan has also been informed about the latest developments in bid to monitor fiscal transactions. Meanwhile, a list has also been forwarded to intelligence agencies including Inter Service Intelligence.
