Pakistan inks 21 accords with various countries for Exports enhancement

The Senate was informed on Tuesday that twenty-one agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with different countries to enhance exports of the country during the last five years.
Replying to a question during questions hour, Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir informed the House that prime objective of these agreements is to search new international markets for Pakistani products.
He said agreements have been signed with Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Japan, China, Turkey, USA, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, India, Azerbaijan and Vietnam.
The House started discussion on President Mamnoon Hussain's address to the joint sitting of the parliament on 1st June this year.
A motion to this effect was tabled in the House by Minister of Law Zahid Hamid, expressing deep gratitude to the President for his address to both the Houses.
Taking part in the discussion, Farhatullah Babar endorsed the President's remarks that Pakistan is responsible nuclear state. However, he criticized former dictator Pervez Musharraf for giving careless remarks about Pakistan's nuclear programme.
