Pakistan has played significant role for peace in Afghanistan: US Senator

A delegation of US Senators called on Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad on Sunday.

Views were exchanged on matters of bilateral interest and overall situation in the region.

The delegation include John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Sheldon Whitehouse, Elizabeth Warren, and David Perdue.

Meanwhile, talking to PTV, Senator John McCain said that Pakistan has a significant role for establishment of peace and stability in Afghanistan.

He said peace and stability in Afghanistan is not possible without Pakistan's help.

To a question, John McCain said Kashmir issue should be resolved in peaceful way through negotiation. He said that US wants end to violence in Kashmir. He said the US will continue its policy regarding Kashmir issue and no change has been made in this regard.
