Pakistan goes hard against Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: The Bab-e-Dosti will be opened only after Afghanistan addressed Pakistan’s reservations, said Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz.

The adviser held a meeting with Afghan Ambassador Omar Zakhilwal at the Foreign Office here on Tuesday.

Aziz, during the meeting, discussed in detail the tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, saying the ambassador should have raised issues of Kabul with Islamabad.

Aziz said that innocent citizens were targeted by Afghan security forces at Chaman border.

Earlier this week, Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz had condemned the Chaman incident and called it an “unfortunate” during a news conference.
