Pakistan first technical university all set for launch

LAHORE: The steering committee for the establishment of Pakistan’s first-ever technical university decided that the institute would be established in Lahore and start functioning from February 2018.
The campus will be set up at Government Emerging Technologies College Township which will be upgraded to varsity. The committee also decided that varsity would start functioning from February 2018.
While talking to the media on the occasion, Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashood observed all necessary arrangements were made for it and the ordinance for varsity was also ready.
“This varsity will be a gift to Punjab from Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).”
