Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif is an employee of a Dubai company

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s UAE iqama has come to the fore.
As per the iqama, the defence minister is an employee of a company in Dubai. Asif did not mention the income he earned through his employment in Dubai in his nomination papers filed to the ECP for the 2013 general election.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is considering legal recourse to call for the defence minister’s disqualification. Usman Dar, who consulted with Babar Awan over the matter, said that the defence minister will be sent packing under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
