Pakistan-Azerbaijan to enter into joint defence production

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Minister for Defence Industry Azerbaijan Yaver Jamalove held a meeting with Minister for Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain on Thursday at Expo Centre, Karachi and discussed matters of mutual interest.
The minister mentioned the Prime Minister's directive to expand defence industrial ties with Azerbaijan and proposed frequent interaction between the two countries in defence military relations.
The minister expressed the desire to sign MoU on Defence Industrial cooperation with Azerbaijan at the earliest.
Both sides appreciated the existing training cooperation between the two countries and expressed the desire to expand it further.
Moreover, both sides also stressed on the need for frequent exchange of visits by the technicians in order to identify more areas of cooperation.
The minister thanked the delegates for their participation in IDEAS-2016.
