Pakistan Army rejects US allegations of terrorist safe heavens

US President Donald Trump has approved four thousand additional troops for Afghanistan.

US Defence Secretary James Mattis has directed Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff to carry out the strategy for increasing troops in Afghanistan.

Earlier, announcing US-Policy on Afghanistan and South Asia from Arlington Army Base this morning, President Trump said the United States cannot give a timeline for the withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan.

In continued blame game, he accused Pakistan of not doing enough to eliminate terrorist outfits on its soil.

However, Pakistan has outrightly rejected the allegation and said that its security forces have been taking indiscriminate action against all terrorists.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relation Major General Asif Ghafoor told reporters in Islamabad yesterday that military operations have been conducted across the board and against all militants including the Haqqani network.
