Overseas Chinese role in development of Pakistan

GILGIT: (APP) General Secretary Oversees Chinese Association in Gilgit-Baltistan Abdul Rehman Bukhari Saturday said the role of overseas Chinese in the development of Pakistan especially in Gilgit-Baltistan is admirable.
In an interview with APP, he said more than five thousand overseas Chinese are living in Gilgit-Baltistan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and other parts of the country.
For the promotion of business activities between the two brotherly countries, overseas Chinese always played a vital role from the very beginning.
Regarding China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said it would bring prosperity and development in Pakistan and due to this mega project overseas Chinese in Pakistan would get more business opportunities.
He said CPEC would diver the attention of investors towards Pakistan and overseas Chinese would play a role of bridge between Pakistan and Chinese investors.
He said Gilgit-Baltistan has a lot of natural resources, and Chinese investors could convert the raw material of these resources into real production by using modern technology.
To a query, he said overseas Chinese introduced Chinese food across the country specially in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Now-a-day Chinese food in Gilgit-Baltistan are very famous, and Chinese dishes are available at every nook and cranny of Gilgit and Skirdu.
Chinese famous dish 'Mantho' has become the part of Gilgiti dishes and without Mantho iftari is considered as half in the holy month of Ramzan .
Overseas Chinese working in different spheres of life are playing role of ambassadors of China to Pakistan and they have proved themselves as the real messengers of friendship between the two neigbour countries.
