Orange Line Metro Train inauguration announced ahead of schedule

Orange Line Metro Train Project will be completed by December this year and the consignment of its bogies will reach Lahore this year from China.
This was stated by Adviser to the Chief Minister and Orange line Metro Train Steering Committee Chairman, Khawaja Ahmad Hassan while addressing a briefing of NESPAK officials in Lahore.
He said that seventy two percent construction work of the project has been completed.
The meeting was informed that contract of twelve stations of package-1 while fifteen stations of package-II have been assigned to a Chinese company CR Norinko.
The estimated cost of the project is one point six billion dollars.
The metro train is expected to transport up to two hundred fifty thousand passengers a day.
