Opposition parties demand PM resignation in joint meeting

ISLAMABAD: While rejecting the Terms of Reference of government, opposition parties have demanded PM Nawaz resignation till the completion of investigation over the issue of Panama leaks.


As per details, Opposition parties joint meeting was held here at today at the residence of PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan where PPP. PTI, MQM, PML-Q, ANP, JI and other opposition parties participated in the meeting.


Khurshid Shah, Sheri Rehman, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Naveed Qamar and Aitzaz Ahsan participated in the meeting from PPP while Shah Mahmood, Jahangir Tareen, Shireen Mizari, Arif Alvi and Asad Omer participated in the meeting from PTI side.


Siraj ul Haq, Sheikh Rashid, Ch. Shujaat, Mushahid Hussain, Aftab Khan and MQM leaders were also present in the meeting.


Sources claimed that Terms of References draft has been presented by PPP in the meeting which has been prepared by Aitzaz Ahsan.


Demand of PM resignation, to hold accountability of his family first and forensic audit of PM and his family assets were included in the Terms of Reference of PPP.


All the opposition parties presented their TORs in the meeting which came under discussion while a joint resolution passed in the meeting over Terms of References demanding PM resignation.
