Only 131 new traders could be lured by Tax Amnesty Scheme in first month target of one million

ISLAMABAD: Tax Amnesty Scheme has failed in first month as only 131 traders decided to include in the tax net as per scheme.
As per details, target of one million traders has been set by government to include them in tax net but only 131 traders could be lured by Tax Amnesty Scheme.
The scheme was introduced by federal government after the efforts of 4 months but the scheme could not attract the traders and flopped in the first month.
After the failure of the scheme, it is expected that government will further extend its period and help agree traders once again for submitting tax returns.
