No new sanctions against Iran over latest Ballistic missile test: Russian Official

MOSCOW: Russian official claimed that there will be no new sanctions on Iran for its latest Ballistic Missile test as its not a violation of UN resolution.

 

He claimed that Russia opposes unilateral UN sanctions on Iran.

 

The meeting was called by US over Iran’s latest ballistic missile test which is capable to hit US military bases in the region.

 

US claimed that Iran is developing missiles which are capable of carrying nuclear warheads but Iran denied it.

 

Western countries urged Ban Ki Moon to prepare a report whether Iran’s ballistic missile test was a violation of 2231 resolution or not.

 

They showed severe concerns over the launch of ballistic missile by Iran which could hit Israel’s main land.

 

Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon urged UNSC to take strict actions against Iran’s ongoing nuclear arsenal.

 

Recently Iran test fired a ballistic missile capable of hitting Israel last week.

 

US Ambassador Samantha Power called a meeting and claimed that missile is designed to deliver a warhead which is dangerous, destabilizing and provocative.
