Nawaz Sharif, his children assets frozen by NAB

ISLAMABAD - National Accoutnability Bureau has frozen assets of ousted premier Nawaz Sharif, his children, Hassan, Hussain and Maryam and her husband Capt (r) SAFDAR,  electronic media has reported.

The development has come in hours after finance minister Ishaq Dar’s residence in Islamabad was raided by the accountability bureau and letters were dispatched to banks, excise department and deputy commissioner to check any possible transference of properties, vehicles and valuables.

NAB is pursuing references against the former first family of Pakistan after Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the top court on July 28 earlier this year.

Nawaz Sharif led a Grand Trunk Road rally from Islamabad to Lahore making it a power show of the political party that he founded, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

In his addresses in multiple cities during over 70-hour rally, Nawaz Sharif criticised the top court s order denying corruption allegations and demanded the people of Pakistan to have their vote respected.

In the latest of developments regarding bureau s actions against the family, the disqualified premier and his family members were summoned by the department twice but none appeared.
