NAB holds important emergency meeting after Panama verdict

The National Accountability Bureau has become active after the Panama case verdict by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has called a top meeting after the Supreme Court’s decision in Panama leaks case today (Friday).

Directors, prosecutor general and director general of NAB have been summoned to the meeting. The prosecutor general will brief participants on the matter

In its judgment, the five-member SC bench has ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file references against Nawaz Sharif in addition to his children and son-in-law Capt (r) Muhammad Safdar before the Accountability Court giving a deadline of six weeks on the basis of the material collected and referred to by the Joint Investigating Team (JIT) in its report and such other material as may be available to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and NAB.
