LAHORE – Awami National Party’s (ANP) has decided to favour ruling PML-N in the National Assembly seat NA-120 by elections which is going to be held tomorrow on September 17.
ANP contestant for NA-120 by-election Ameer Bahadur Hoti on Saturday stepped aside in favor of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Kulsoom Nawaz.
This was announced hours before the NA-120 by-poll. Many other party’s have shown their support for PML-N in NA-120 by-election including Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan and other religious parties.
However, sadly none of the contestants of the NA-120 by-elections will be able to vote because none of them are registered in the constituency.
On the other hand, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) had showed support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf contestant Dr. Yasmin Rashid. NA-120 by-election is of greater significance because this seat was vacated after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
