Modi visit to IOK: Kashmiris wants freedom not roads construction: APHC

In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference has urged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to act as a statesman and resolve the Kashmir dispute in its historical perspective instead of construction of roads and tunnels in the disputed territory.

In a statement issued in Srinagar while referring to Indian Prime Minister visit to occupied Kashmir APHC spokesman said, Kashmir is a serious and a sensitive political issue and it needs extraordinary and exemplary courage to resolve it.

He termed the last day’s shutdown as a message to the Indian rulers that Kashmir issue could not be solved or shelved through such measures.

Meanwhile the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt has said that visits of any Indian Prime Minister to the territory cannot change nature of Kashmir dispute
