ISLAMABAD: The Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik has asked people to launch mass agitation if the Indian Supreme Court delivers verdict against the interests and aspiration of people.

Indian Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a petition seeking abrogation of Article 35A on Monday, which debars non-Kashmiris from purchasing land or property, seek a government job or vote in the Assembly elections in the Occupied Kashmir, KMS reported.

The joint leadership appealed the lawyers, writers, scholars and other respected members of society to make people aware of the consequences of proposed repealing of state-subject law and urged them to make every possible effort to reach out to the international community to appraise it of the horrifying situations in the territory and its disputed status.”We will safeguard the integrity and special status of the occupied territory at any cost,” the JRL state
