Mastung Attack: ISIS claims responsibility for suicide blast

QUETTA: At least 25 people were killed and many others injured, including Deputy Senate Chairman Maulana Ghafoor Haidery as his convoy came under attack in Mastung district of Balochistan on Friday.

The Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader’s convoy was passing by a mosque shortly after Friday prayers when it was targetted.

DPO Mastung Ghazanfar Ali said initial probe suggested it was a suicide attack. “A suspected suicide bomber hit Ghafoor Haidery’s car,” he said.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack which is claimed to be suicide attack.
