Massive protests held in occupied Kashmir against India

In Occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, led a big rally in Srinagar on Friday to express solidarity with the thousands of Kashmiris languishing in different jails and police stations.

The rally held at Janab Sahib in Soura area of Srinagar was also aimed at registering protest against the ongoing persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.

The participants of the rally chanted high-pitched slogans “We want freedom” and “Go India go back”.

Earlier addressing a big public gathering at Janab Sahib, Muhammad Yasin Malik said Kashmiris languishing in jails and police stations were prisoners of conscience.

He said that black laws like Public Safety Act and investigating agencies like NIA were being used to detain and intimidate the Kashmiri people. He urged the Kashmiris to remain steadfast and keep pursuing their goal with fervour, focus and steadfastness.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Hurriyet Forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, while addressing a public gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar has urged India to adopt a political approach instead of military policy to settle the Kashmir dispute.

He said that the pro-freedom leadership would extend full support to any dialogue meant to resolve the lingering dispute according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
