Mashal Khan did not commit blasphemy, testifies his professor
ISLAMABAD: A lecturer of journalism at Abdul Wali Khan University appeared before a local magistrate on Friday and rejected allegations of blasphemy leveled against Mashal Khan.

In his statement before the magistrate, Professor Ziaullah Hamdard said that he had never heard anything blasphemous from Mashal Khan.

“Mashal was known to me for the last two years and he was the topper of class. Abdullah and Zubair were also brilliant students of the class,” he said.

Mashal was a humanist, interested in socialism and was nationalist in political affiliations. He liked sophism and believed in philosophy of non-violence.”

“I never heard Mashal of talking impiously of being supreme being. It would be unjust to call Mashal a loony and profligate as he never committed blasphemy. He was a smily face and had leadership qualities.”
