Maryam Nawaz not dependent of PM, paying taxes: PM Spokesman

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Spokesman to the Prime Minister Dr Musadik Malik has said Maryam Safdar was self-independent and paying taxes on her declared assets.

Lawyers of Sharif family had presented documented evidences before the Supreme Court that she was self-independent and paying taxes, he said speaking in a TV programme.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had not presented any documented evidence before the court and it should present evidence of its allegations against the prime minister before the court.

Dr Musadik said the discussion was held in the Supreme Court's proceeding only on evidences presented by Sharif family's lawyers because PTI lawyers failed to do so.

He said PTI had adopted a political strategy to level baseless allegations on the government to do politics in the country.
