Maryam Nawaz emerges as top contender to contest NA 120 by polls

PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has finalised names of Begum Kulsoom and Ms Maryam as PML-N candidates for the NA 120 that fell vacant after disqualification of ex-PM Nawaz Sharif.
However, the PML-N chief will make a final decision on the issue after reaching Lahore from Islamabad.
However Maryam Nawaz is likely to emerge as the top contender due to health conditions of the first lady.
The former prime minister had earlier wished that his younger brother Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should succeed him as prime minister (after contesting from NA-120 to become a National Assembly member).
