LHC suspends sentence of police officers in Benzair Bhutto murder case

LAHORE  – The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench has on Monday suspended the sentence of two police officers convicted in Benazir Bhutto murder case.

A two-member bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench comprising Justice Tariq Abbasi and Justice Habibullah Amir heard the appeals of two convicted former police officers challenging the verdict of the anti-terrorism court (ATC).

During the proceedings, the court while accepting the appeals of convicted police officers for hearing suspended the sentences of police officers.

The court while summoning the record from Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), adjourned the hearing for indefinite period.
