Lahore High Court CJ takes notice of police torture on MNA Jamshed Dasti

LAHORE: Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Mansoor Ali Shah has taken notice of the alleged police torture on politician Jamshed Dasti.
According to details, Chief Justice LHC (LHC) Mansoor Ali Shah took notice of Awami Raj Party Chief Dasti’s claim and has sought reports from the courts hearing the matter.
It is pertinent to mention that Jamshed is in police custody over charges of water theft.
Dasti, who is in police custody for last three weeks, claimed that he is being tortured and starved by police in Multan Central Jail.
Dasti accused that he had been severely beaten by police and deprived of food for many days, adding that rats and scorpions were released into his jail cell
