Kulsoom Nawaz hospitalized again

LONDON: Kulsoom Nawaz, wife of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who is undergoing treatment for lymphoma, has been admitted to the hospital again after her condition took a turn for the worse.

The doctors allowed to undergo her second chemotherapy session in the United Kingdom after they found her white blood cells satisfactory.

The sons of Nawaz Sharif said that the condition of their mother wasn’t stabilizing and appealed the people of Pakistan to pray for her early recovery.

Kulsoom was diagnosed with early-stage lymphoma in August when she suddenly left for London for a checkup. She has since undergone three surgeries and remains in London.

Kulsoom won the by-election in NA-120 Lahore in September after the seat fell vacant following Sharif’s’s disqualification by Pakistan’s Supreme Court in connection with the Panama Papers case.
