KPK Police senior officer gunned down in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Unidentified gunmen shot and killed a senior police officer in Peshawar shortly after evening prayers, officials said.
DSP Riaz ul Islam was targeted when he was coming out of a local mosque after the prayers. His son was also injured in the gun attack.
The deceased’s body was shifted to hospital for medico legal formalities.
Police cordoned off the area and launched a probe into the assault.
