KP government establishes 13 internal audit cells to improve governance

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has established thirteen Internal Audit Cells to improve government performance, reported by Radio Pakistan.

Addressing the launching ceremony in Peshawar on Tuesday, Provincial Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said said the government is committed to root out corruption from the government departments.

He said the Audit Cells will strengthen internal control and timely detection of financial irregularities.

The Minister said initially the cells have been set up in thirteen departments which will be extended to other departments later.
