Kashmiri students stage protest against Indian atrocities in IOK

ISLAMABAD: Students staged protests against the continued killing of civilians by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.
The students of Government Post Graduate College, Rajouri, during their protests against the killings of eight youth in Badgam and Gandarbal on Sunday demanded an end to Indian brutalities, KMS reported.
The students while shouting slogans like `Sab Naaro'n Pe Ek Bhari, Humara Haq Raishumaari', (our demand is plebiscite).
Speaking on the occasion, a student leader, Chawdhry Bilal Ahmed said, "Kashmir is a globally acknowledged dispute between India and Pakistan and New Delhi has adopted a non-serious attitude for its permanent settlement."
Terming the recent killings as worst kind of state terrorism, Saqib Malik, another protester said, "We stand with our counterparts in the valley who are subjugated to worse kind of oppression."
Another leading protestor, Aquib Wani urged the world community and UN to take notice of human rights violations in Kashmir for the restoration of permanent peace and prosperity. The protestors expressed sympathy with the families of civilians killed, injured and jailed. However, the protesters later dispersed peacefully.
On the other hand, the entry of an Indian Army vehicle into Degree College in Pulwama , sparked protests and clashes in the camps.
An Indian army Casper vehicle from 55 Rashtriya Rifles made its entry inside the Degree College Pulwama when majority of the students were busy taking classes. As the army vehicles stopped in the premises of the College, agitated students left the classes and assembled in the College ground, raising massive pro-freedom slogans. (APP)
