KARACHI: Hindu festival Holi being celebrated across Pakistan

KARACHI: Hindu festival Holi is being celebrated across Pakistan by Hindu community with traditional zeal. Public holiday has been declared by Sindh government to mark the Hindu festival Holi.
As per details, all the provincial departments and offices will remain closed in Sindh at the occasion of Holi festival. The day kicked off in Pakistan with traditional Hindu worship after which people threw colours to each other.
On the occasion of Holi festival, Hindu community played with colours and had sung different songs. Sweets were also distributed by Hindu community among the participants of the Holi festival.
It is the first time in the history of Pakistan that public holiday has been declared by Sindh government while in recent past, a resolution was also passed by National Assembly to declare holiday on the festivals of minorities.
