Justice Shahid Hameed Dar takes oath as acting LHC CJ

LAHORE: (APP) Justice Shahid Hameed Dar on Tuesday took oath as acting chief justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali administered oath in a ceremony held at the Judges Lounge of the court.
LHC judges, LHC officer, senior lawyers, law officers and a large number of lawyers attended the ceremony.
LHC Judges and court officials congratulated the acting CJ for holding the office.

LHC Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah is on an official visit to Singapore to participate in the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL) at the National University of Singapore. He will be speaking on the topic "Climate Change and its Challenges - a judicial perspective". In the absence of Chief Justice, Justice Shahid Hameed Dar will be the acting chief justice.
